COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of your course you will be able to:

AKNOWLEDGE

Identify the basic construction and
components, and the purpose and
use of all its controls and gauges.

LOADING/UNLOADING

Explain the loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter..

CHECKS

Carry out all pre-use and
running checks.

UNLOADING

Discharge loads into trenches or
over edges.

TRAVEL

Travel over differing types of terrain,
including rough undulating ground,
both in a loaded and unloaded state.

PROCEDURES

Comply with loading procedures.

SETTINGS

Set the dumper for site and
road travel.

PLACEMENT

Place the dumper in an
out-of-service condition.

INCLINES

Travel up and down substantial
inclines in a loaded and unloaded
state

MANOEUVRE

Manoeuvre in confined areas using
forward and reverse direction, in a
loaded and unloaded state.

LOADING

Ensure load integrity and security.

IDENTIFY AND COMPLY

Identify and comply with
manufacturer’s instructions in
accordance with the operator’s
handbook, other information sources,
and applicable legislation.

POSITIONING

Position the dumper to receive
loads
and applicable legislation.
